The Panhellenic Council is made up of 10 sorority members from each of the 5 soroities at Fresno State. It is the governing body of the 5 National Panhellenic sororities at Fresno State and 1 Associate Member sorority. The Council promotes excellence in academics, community and campus involvement, and sisterhood. The bond of sisterhood is a special relationship that all sorority women share in their individual sororities and together as a Panhellenic community.

A Letter From Our President

Welcome to the Fresno State Panhellenic Association!  My name is Maelyn De Fede.  I am the current Panhellenic President and I am so excited that Greek Life has sparked your interest and can’t wait to share all of our amazing organizations with you!  Just to give you a little insight on the Panhellenic Association, we are a group of women from each sorority that make up a council to better serve the Greek Community.  Our number one priority is to  create greek unity, we are able to do this by planning Greek events like Sorority Recruitment, Greek Week, Greek Awards, and other events for all sororities to participate in.

Here at Fresno State sorority life is an excellent place to begin your four-year collegiate adventure.  Being a sorority woman is about being the best version of yourself you can be.  Our sororities’ work with each other to become the most well rounded women we can be upon our graduation.   We are able to accomplish these goals because we set high ideals for ourselves.  We take great pride in fostering fraternal values, academic success, community service, student involvement both on and of campus, social merit and leadership opportunities.  Greek Life is very unique experiences where you are able to build friendships that are not just for four years, but are for life!  It also gives you a support system and a home away from home. There is a house that belongs to each of you, and we are sure you will find a perfect fit!

Fresno State has five Panhellenic sororities.  Our Panhellenic tradition began back in 1956, with Delta Zeta, and since then has grown to include Delta Gamma, Phi Mu, Kappa Kappa Gamma, and Kappa Alpha Theta.  We also have an associated member, Sigma Alpha, as well!

Please explore our website, Facebook page, twitter, and Instagram to learn more about our five chapters and the Panhellenic council. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or any member on our Recruitment Team.

Go Greek with Bulldog Pride,
